Welcome to our Passover 2025 special section of the Chronicle, which we begin with photos from a recent seder aimed at bringing community together. The Jewish Community Relations Council of Milwaukee Jewish Federation and Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee held the model Passover Seder for about 50 interfaith and community leaders on March 10.
Rabbi Noah Chertkoff, senior rabbi at Congregation Shalom, led the committee that planned the event as JCRC Interfaith Task Force chair. The event was planned in partnership with Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee.
The event was held at Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, Glendale, with participation from Rabbi Joel Alter, Cantor Richard Newman and Hazzan Mimi Rozansky, among others.
“About 50 diverse community representatives attended and many, if not most, guests had never attended a Seder before,” said Roberta S. Clark, JCRC executive director. “I had many participants come up to me during and after the Seder to tell me how much they enjoyed it and how fortunate they felt to be there.”
