Share your milestones with the Wisconsin Jewish community. The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle will publish announcements of births, bar/bat mitzvah events, engagements, weddings, student and workplace achievements, obituaries and memorial dedications free of charge.
Fill out the appropriate online form (see below) for publication in the paper and posting on our Web site. If you prefer, download the form and send it by mail to Rob Golub, Editor, Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle, 1360 N. Prospect Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202 or by email to Chronicle@MilwaukeeJewish.org. You can also call our subscription coordinator, Tela Bissett, at 414-390-5720 so she can take your information over the phone. Submissions will be edited.
The Chronicle is delivered on about the 1st of each month. Items submitted after the 15th may miss our press date and appear in the following month’s issue.
FREE obituaries: We will write an obituary based on information you provide. Fill out our form online, download the form, or email your own written version to Chronicle@MilwaukeeJewish.org. Free obituaries will be edited and this means some of what you write may not be included.
PAID obituaries: We will not edit or alter your text. Contact Jane Dillon at 414-807-8525. Send obituary text along with your name, billing address and phone number to JaneD@MilwaukeeJewish.org.
The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle staff works directly with community members to write obituaries that remember and honor their loved ones rather than working through third parities such as funeral homes or synagogues. Please note that, in many instances, copyright law prevents us from publishing obituaries that have already appeared in another publication.
