Chai Lights: A gift of books

Sarah Wexler of Middleton poses with books she sent to the African Library Project. She is one of seven Jewish teens celebrating a bar or bat mitzvah from all over the U.S. who decided to support the ALP as their mitzvah project. Each participant committed to collect 1000 books and $500 to start a library in sub-Saharan Africa. Wexler, daughter of Kathy Heady and Mark Wexler, celebrated her bat mitzvah at Temple Beth El in Madison on April 16. Photo by Kathy Heady.
