In what is believed to be a first for the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, two Wisconsin students will be honored at the Annual National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Ceremony, to be held on March 27.
The students are Gabe Carimi from Cottage Grove, currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and Kylie Rosenstock from Fitchburg, a freshman at Stanford University.
Football player Carimi is a left offensive tackle who was the 2010 recipient of the Outland Trophy as the nation’s best interior lineman. He was co-captain of the UW team that appeared in the Rose Bowl and was named Big Ten Lineman of the Year.
Diver Rosenstock competed in the U.S. Junior National Championships from 2006-2009, and finished as a 16-time Jr. National Qualifier. In 2010, she was named co-Sportswoman of the Year by the Madison Hall of Fame Club; was named the WISCA Girls Division 1 Diver of the Year; and was designated a NISCA All-American.
