Judith Ben-Hur (nee Horwitz) of Milwaukee died Sept. 22 at the age of 68.
Born in Milwaukee, Ben-Hur attended Washington High School. Upon graduation she attended the University of Oklahoma.
According to her family, she was a strong advocate for children and young adults with autism. She was very involved with her children and extended family, they said.
She is survived by her daughter Gia Ben-Hur and two sons, Evan Ben-Hur and Daniel Ben-Hur, all of Milwaukee; a sister, Donna (Dr. Harvey) Wichman of Bayside; and one grandson.
Funeral services were held Sept. 25 at Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home. Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
