Renewal Shabbat 
This uplifting service will be led by Cantor Mimi Rozansky, Rabbi Noah, and musicians from the community. Inspired by the joyful spirit of Jewish Renewal, the evening will feature prayer, music, and moments of reflection. All are welcome to attend this spiritually enriching Shabbat celebration. New Moon Sound Bath 
Join for a transformative experience that merges the ancient tradition of Rosh Chodesh with the healing powers of a sound bath. Each month, explore a different theme, honoring the start of a new lunar cycle – a perfect time for renewal, reflecting, and intention-setting. Members $25. Community $30. Lunch & Learn 
Seeking acceptance and opportunities, Lene Tick’s family immigrated to Denmark from Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Russia in the early 1900s. Their experiences during Germany’s World War II occupation of Denmark include escape to Sweden and internment at Theresienstadt ghetto camp. A fourth-generation Danish Jew and member of Milwaukee’s Jewish community, Lene’s life has been shaped by this history and heritage. Organized by Jewish Museum Milwaukee in partnership with the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center. Members $5. Community $8. May 7, noon-1 p.m. Jewish Museum Milwaukee, 1360 N. Teacher Appreciation Shabbat 
A special evening honoring dedicated teachers and first-year Hebrew students. The celebration begins with a community-wide dinner, followed by a joyful Shabbat service featuring music by Marc & Wendy Cohen, a story time, birthday lollipops, and a delicious oneg. $36 per family. Spring Beer Garden 
Lag B’Omer is a time of joy, community, and gathering around the fire. Join for a festive evening with live music by Jon Hintz, craft beer from New Barons Brewing Cooperative, and BBQ from Paul’s Smokehouse & BBQ. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends on this special night. Children are welcome to come play, but no organized kids’ activities will be provided. Free. Annual Chorale Concert

Yoga basics 
This class covers yoga essentials like sun salutations, vinyasa flow, and foundational poses, while focusing on proper form and alignment to keep you safe and feeling confident. Banned Book Club 
Dive into books that spark conversation, challenge ideas, and sometimes… get banned. This month’s book is “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. In a racially divided Southern town, a young girl comes of age as her father, a principal lawyer, defends a black man falsely accused of a crime. Through her experiences, she learns harsh truths about injustice, empathy and moral courage. Members $5. Community $7. Shalom Ireland 
Shalom Ireland follows a Jewish woman who travels to Ireland to uncover her ancestral roots, discovering the deep connection between the Irish and Jewish communities. Through music, history, and shared experiences, the film explores themes of peace, unity, and healing across cultures. Free and open to the public. Tikkun Olam Shabbat 
Congregation Shalom’s Fourth Annual Tikkun Olam Shabbat. Keynote speaker Wisconsin State Senator Jodi Habush Sinykin, who represents the 8th Senate District in Southeast Wisconsin.
