Atlanta seminar for students

The Edward Fein Winter Student Seminar applications are open for Jewish college students, ages 18 to 23, to engage with challenges and opportunities facing Israel and the Jewish community. The seminar will take place Dec. 21-24 in Atlanta, Georgia.

This seminar will address the most pressing issues facing the Jewish community, according to a statement from the Shalom Hartman Institute, which organizes the program. Applications are due Oct. 15 for students across North America.

The highly subsidized seminar includes lodging, meals, retreat expenses, educational materials and up to a $500 flight stipend. Students or campuses are asked to contribute $250 toward participation, with full and partial scholarships available.

This year’s theme is “Flourishing Communities, Shared Peoplehood.” The goal is to explore what it means for Jewish life in the United States and Canada to thrive, not just endure.
