This year, I choose to say “yes” to new opportunities. Especially since I am now a senior at Nicolet High School, I am looking forward to new experiences before I leave for college.
I said “yes” to an internship with the Milwaukee Admirals as a communications intern. Although the program hasn’t started yet, I’m very excited to learn more about how they run the team from a business perspective and hope to have a positive impact on the team.
I also agreed to step up my involvement with my baseball team for Nicolet. Since we don’t do team captains, I am a part of the Leadership Group which we formed last year. The program works on making not only the Varsity level better each day but building up players at all levels as much as we can. Even though we started this last year, it was definitely a huge success since we made it all the way to state last June! I’m hoping we will have the same experience this year too.
I’m honored to say “yes” this year for reading Torah for the fifth time at Rosh Hashanah services at Congregation Emanu-el and I am excited to say yes to new experiences as a leader in BBYO, Nicolet’s Hebrew Club and Hebrew National Honor Society. Being part of the Jewish community is important to me, and I am proud to say “yes” to opportunities when I can be part of them.
While I don’t know where I’ll be next year for Rosh Hashanah, I hope when I look back at this one that I will have made great memories, and I am already looking forward to saying “yes” to new opportunities and experiences next year too…wherever I may be!
