Anne Frank exhibit trip
The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center and the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center will sponsor a bus trip to the Anne Frank exhibit at Chicago’s Griffin Museum of Science and Industry on Sunday, Aug. 2. The trip includes round-trip transportation from the JCC, admission to the exhibit, a visit to the Illinois Holocaust Museum pop-up exhibit, and free time on the Magnificent Mile. Jewish Food Festival
The eighth annual Jewish Food Festival will be held Sunday and Monday, Aug. 2-3, at Foxtown Station, 6209 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon. The festival features Jewish cuisine, live music, family activities, cooking demonstrations, inflatables, crafts and a Sunday evening concert by the Jewish music group 8th Day. Anne Frank at library
The Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center presents Anne Frank: A History for Today through Aug. 7 at the Milwaukee Public Library, Central Branch, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee. Developed by the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, the traveling exhibition explores Anne Frank’s life through family photographs, historical images and interactive displays about the Holocaust and antisemitism. SPARK! program
SPARK!, a program for people with early- to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners, will meet Friday, Aug. 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee, 1360 N. Jewish women program
Jewish Museum Milwaukee will present “Values in Action: Jewish Women Shaping a Just World” on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the museum, 1360 N. Prospect Ave., Milwaukee. Inspired by the legacies of Milwaukee changemakers Lizzie Black Kander and Helen Daniels Bader, the program will feature a panel of Jewish women leaders discussing service, social justice and tikkun olam. New Moon Sound Bath
The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will host a New Moon Sound Bath on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 7-8:15 p.m. at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay. The guided sound meditation is designed to promote relaxation and reflection through soothing tones and vibrations. Participants of all experience levels are welcome. Community Gap Camp
Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid will hold Community Gap Camp from Monday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 21, at the synagogue, 6880 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale. Congregation Shalom will present “Introduction to Judaism 201: High Holy Day Preparation,” a three-part series exploring the liturgy, themes and music of the High Holy Days.
