Security network wins award

The Wisconsin Jewish Security Network received the 2026 Yachad Community Partner Award from the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Each year, the Yachad award, a Hebrew word meaning “together,” honors a community partner whose collaboration with the JCC has exemplified the importance of partnership in building a healthier Milwaukee.

WJSN Executive Director Ari Friedman accepted the award from JCC Board Member Alexandra Goldman Rose at the JCC’s annual meeting on June 3. WJSN is a program supported by Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

During the award presentation, it was noted that WJSN and MJF have been essential partners in fulfilling the JCC’s commitment to providing armed security at its five sites during every hour it provides programs and services. “At the JCC, that commitment is felt every day,” according to the award nomination. “Officers do so much more than provide security. They greet our families each morning, high-five our children, welcome members and guests, and help create an environment where all of us can experience the power of belonging.”
