Volunteers are needed at Milwaukee’s free medical clinics, said Mark P. Behar, one of the Chronicle’s readers.
Behar was inspired to reach out when he read a Chronicle article last month about local volunteers crocheting mats for the homeless population of Milwaukee.
“I have been a volunteer in the medical clinic at Repairers of the Breach for several years and was unaware of how we’ve acquired these mats!” he said. Behar is a retired physician assistant and LGBTQ activist.
Those with a medical background, some time to spare, and a hunger to complete some mitzvot can get more information about volunteer opportunities at wifc3.org.
