New Jewish Food Festival location, with 8th Day concert

Set for Aug. 2-3, at Foxtown Station in Mequon, with sunset Sunday concert

The annual Jewish Food Festival, presented by the Peltz Center for Jewish Life, is moving this year to a new location, Foxtown Station in Mequon, and is offering a sunset concert, with festivities set for Sunday and Monday, Aug. 2–3.

“This year, we’re really bringing everything together in a bigger way,” said Rabbi Moshe Luchins, director of the Jewish Food Festival. “You’ll still find the incredible food and family atmosphere people love, but now with a new venue and a headline concert experience that takes it to another level.”

Known for its vibrant atmosphere and wide array of authentic cuisine, the festival continues to grow as one of the area’s most anticipated community events, according to the Peltz Center. This is the festival’s eighth year.

This year’s move to Foxtown Station will allow for an expanded layout and a more elevated experience, while maintaining the festival’s signature energy and welcoming feel, according to organizers.

At its core, the festival remains a celebration of Jewish food and culture, featuring a diverse selection of freshly prepared favorites such as pastrami sandwiches, falafel pitas, matzah ball soup, potato knishes, chocolate babka, and rugelach, alongside live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and interactive experiences for all ages.

New this year, the festival will introduce a Sunday night sunset concert, adding a major highlight to the weekend, according to the Peltz Center. The concert will feature a live headline performance by Jewish rock and pop band 8th Day, “a high-energy, nationally acclaimed Jewish music group known for their dynamic and engaging shows,” according to organizers. “The performance is expected to bring a true concert-level experience to the festival setting.”

The concert is free and open to the public, made possible through the support of Sendik’s Food Market, the presenting sponsor of the sunset concert. Admission to the festival is free. The festival will run from noon to 7 p.m. on both days. More information is available at JewishFoodMequon.com.
