Leah Stein, co-director of Friendship Circle of Wisconsin, worked with children from several local synagogue schools, during a Nov. 9 visit to Chai Point, which is part of Ovation Communities in Milwaukee. Four local charitable organizations, Jewish Family Services, Friendship Circle of Wisconsin, Ovation Communities, and Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee, each led a 20-minute presentation and activity highlighting the work they do to promote social justice in the community and beyond.

The Coalition for Jewish Learning’s associate director, Nicole Boico, organized a Nov. 9 student field trip to Chai Point. The morning concluded with a lesson and song led by Rabbi Steven Adams, director of pastoral care for Ovation Communities, to inspire participants to keep making a difference in the world. In all, 70 students participated from Congregation Emanu-El Waukesha, Congregation Shalom, and Congregation Sinai.
