Yamim 2025 runs April 27 through May 4

Yamim 2025, three days of commemoration for the Jewish community, falls this year between April 27 and May 4. 

They are Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day; Yom Hazikaron, or Israel’s Day of Remembrance; and Yom Haaztmaut, or Israel’s Independence Day. RSVP at Milwaukeejewish.org/Yamim

The Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day event, is slated for Sunday, April 27, 3 p.m., Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC – Daniel M. Soref Community Hall, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay. On April 27, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the liberation of Nazi concentration camps, we come together as a community. Yom Hazikaron, or Israel’s Day of Remembrance, is set for Tuesday, April 29, 6:30 p.m. The event will honor Israel’s victims of terror and fallen soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces and other Israeli security services. The co-chairs are Bobbi Rector and Tehila Cohen. The event will take place at the Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC – Daniel M. Soref Community Hall,

Wisconsin’s largest celebration of Israel, Yom Haaztmaut, celebrates Israel’s independence, achievements and spirit. This commemoration of Israel’s Independence Day will be Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m., at the Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC – Daniel M. Soref Community Hall and on the outside grounds of the JCC, 6255 N.
