Alpha Epsilon Pi sees growth

Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity has grown by more than 1,500 members and eight chapters across various colleges this past fall term.

The fraternity’s growing numbers are “despite, or perhaps, due to, rising campus antisemitism and tensions,” according to an AEPi press release.

Florida International University, University of Southern California and Wayne State University are among the colleges with new AEPi chapters.

“Fall term was difficult for many Jewish students on college campuses, but we are very proud of the way that our brothers have responded, by positively proclaiming their Jewish pride and support for Israel,” said Rob Derdiger, AEPi’s CEO. “I think that’s a key reason that we continue to grow.”

Founded in 1913, Alpha Epsilon Pi describes itself as the leading Jewish fraternity in the U.S., with chapters at more than 150 colleges.
