Trivia Ha-Ir fundraiser 

Show off your knowledge of useless facts, local trivia and Jewish knowledge while supporting the work of Tikkun Ha-Ir. Proceeds support Tikkun Ha-Ir’s mission to build a more just community by uniting Jews of all backgrounds in study, action and civic engagement. Understanding the Siddur 

Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun Lifelong Learning will offer a class “Understanding the Siddur” Monday mornings.  Instructor Joyce Gutzke will discuss why prayers are in a specific order and why some prayers are said as a community and others are offered individually. Gutzke will also review words repeatedly seen in various liturgy and other subjects related to the evolution of the printed prayer book including sacrificing animals in the Jerusalem Temples.
