Dintza’s Kugel is easy to make – This sweet kugel won the People’s Choice Award, second place

Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun held a Kugel Cookoff on Oct. 20, with more than two dozen kugels entered from throughout the community. This recipe for Dintza’s Kugel is delicious and easy to make. It took second place for the People’s Choice Award, as voted on by attendees of the Kugel Cookoff.

Dintza’s Kugel

Chef: Diane Zall

Ingredients:

16oz wide noodles

8oz cream cheese

1 stick of butter, melted

2 cups sour cream

1 cup cottage cheese

1 teaspoon vanilla

6 eggs

Topping ingredients: 2 cups brown sugar; 2 cups Corn Flakes; ½ stick butter, melted

Directions:

Mix all together but you do have to cook the noodles first, then add them. The topping gets mixed separately and sprinkled on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
