Tikkun Ha-Ir’s Ric Cabanatuan, kitchen manager and head chef, and Madalyn Girard, kitchen assistant and sous-chef, are in the kitchen at All People’s Church, 260 North 2nd St.. Here, they are working to prepare meals using vegetables at a Tikkun Ha-Ir Veggie Chop Shop event. The two part-time staff members for Tikkun Ha-Ir have made pans of gnocchi, frittata, Johnny cakes, ratatouille, and other recipes. They typically decide each weekend what they will make, after they know what kind of food is being donated, they said.
