University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chancellor Mark Mone announced this will be his final year as chancellor.
He will return to professorship with the Lubar College of Business effective July 1, 2025, according to his statement released on July 3.
“It was a deeply personal decision for Chancellor Mone and for him, it is the right time,” said UWM spokesperson Angelica Duria, when asked for comment.
In May of this year, Mone brokered an agreement with encampment protestors, angering much of the Milwaukee Jewish Community. He later issued an apology for weighing in.
