Rabbi Wes Kalmar has been elected to the position of financial secretary of the officers of the Rabbinical Council of America. Officers not present are Past President Rabbi Binyamin Blau and Rabbi Noah Cheses. Rabbi Zvi Engel, Or Torah in Skokie, Illinois, is the new president of the Rabbinical Council of America. Kalmar leads Anshe Sfard Kehillat Torah in Glendale. The Rabbinical Council of America is a large association of Orthodox rabbis, a rabbinic counterpart of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations.
