Grief Support Group  

Jewish Family Services’ Grief Support Group helps participants learn how to accept the reality of their loss and are supported through the process of experiencing and acknowledging the physical, emotional and behavioral pain, as well as find a way to positively adjust to their new situation. Sessions are free and open to the community, regardless of race, religion, age, sexual identity, gender identity, ethnic origin, or ability. Co-facilitated by Jessica Laughlin, APSW. During J Playgroups: Summer Series parents will be able to connect while kids enjoy a morning of play with friends. Location & activities rotate. Free and open to the community. Adult Memory Care Program 

SPARK! is a program for people experiencing memory loss and their care partners. Lively discussions, artmaking and other multi-sensory activities. Jewish Museum Milwaukee holds SPARK! events at 10 a.m. on the first Friday of each month. July 7, 10 a.m. Jewish Museum Milwaukee, 1360 N. Prospect Ave., Milwaukee. Weird Science 

Kids can spend summer mornings staying active with Half Day Morning Rec Camps at the Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC. Each day will have two activity blocks. The first focuses on the weekly theme. Navigating the Holocaust 

This virtual workshop for all educators responsible for teaching about the Holocaust in their classrooms since Act 30 took effect. JCC Summer Touch a Truck Festival, by Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Fire trucks to police cars, landscaping and more. Join the University of Wisconsin-Madison Professor of Art History Emerita Barbara Copeland Buenger as she traces the trajectory of the bourgeois and apolitical Max Beckmann, a German painter, draftsman, printmaker, sculptor and writer active during the early 20th century.
