CBINT Gap Camp offers childcare for one week in June

Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, 6880 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale is launching a “CBINT Gap Camp” for young children, Aug. 14-18 2023.

“We really hope to provide an affordable, local, Jewish option for parents in the Milwaukee community, and of course to give people a reason to get to know our awesome staff,” said Beata Abraham, program director and CBINT director of congregational learning.

The CBINT Gap Camp is a one-week program, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., that’s designed to cover the gap at the end of the summer, between the end of summer camp or other activities and the start of school. The program is open to non-members. Half days, per day and 3-4 p.m. aftercare options are also available.

The goal of the CBINT Gap Camp is to fill a void for meaningful, Jewish summer programming in the Milwaukee community, between summer camp and school. It is to serve potty trained 3-year-olds through fourth grade.

“We learned that many parents struggle to find childcare and drop off programs for their children while they are working, that are also budget friendly,” Abraham said. The per-child fee is $400 for non-members and $325 for members. Sibling discounts are available.

CBINT Gap Camp will offer summer outdoor activities, with air-conditioned indoor spaces available too, Abraham said. A bounce house is part of the plans. Teachers and teen counselors will serve as staff.

Kosher lunch and snacks will be provided.
