Despite the complications present for all endeavors in the coronavirus era, volunteers have been working to continue the annual Community Passover Food Drive (Maot Chittim) this year.
Food bags are being created Thursday, April 2, so orders are needed by tonight, Wednesday, April 1.
While the collection of Passover food donations is over, distribution of the free Passover food bags is set for Sunday, April 5 at multiple distribution sites, according to Sami Avner, one of the organizers of this large, annual Passover food drive that’s sponsored by multiple organizations.
To receive food, you must sign up or have someone do it on your behalf. Delivery may be available to your home, or you can visit a drop off site, after you’ve signed up online. Sign up at: https://tinyurl.com/PassoverMKE2020.
The drop off sites will be North Shore – Congregation Sinai, 8223 N. Port Washington Roard; Renaissance Place, 1451 N. Prospect Ave and Congregation Beth Jehudah, 3100 N. 52nd St.
