DeWitt Clinton, who has been active with Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun of River Hills for many years, has published a book of poems.
“At the End of the War” is reflective of Jewish life, including midrashim, poems about conversion, Israel, and a number of poems that look at the Holocaust. The Shorewood resident is holding a book release and reading event at Boswell Book Company, 2559 N. Downer Ave., 7 p.m., Sept 21.
Poems come with eye-catching titles, including, “Libretto for an Unborn Child,” “Touring the Holocaust,” and “The Gift.”
Clinton is a professor emeritus of English at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
