Elana Kahn, representing the local Jewish community, has been elected chair of the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee by its board.
Kahn is director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
The Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee is an alliance of representatives from faith groups throughout the Milwaukee area. The board roster includes pastors and other faith leaders. The group seeks to uphold the dignity of each and every human being and the solidarity of the human community.
“The Interfaith Conference has a rich history and tremendous potential to do the very holy and critical work of bringing people together to know each other, cultivate empathy and respect, and together create a more compassionate and more just community,” Kahn said. “I am excited, legitimately thrilled, for the opportunity to help lead the IFC as it moves into the future.”
