Sharie Lee Berliant

Sharie Lee Berliant of Milwaukee died Feb. 17, 2016 of congestive heart failure. She was 82.

She was born March 12, 1933. She graduated from Washington High School in 1950 and from Milwaukee State Teachers College in 1954. She earned a master’s degree in 1958 from the University of Wisconsin. 

In addition to her master’s in vocational rehabilitation counseling, she was president of the Society for Jewish Learning and was involved with the Milwaukee Jewish Archives and Hadassah. She served as a vocational peer counselor for the state of California.

She lived at Chai Point and had many friends there, returning to Milwaukee after many years in San Francisco.

Survivors include Howard Berliant, brother, and his fiancée Anne Wright, both of Shorewood.

Burial was at Spring Hill with Goodman-Bensman home and Rabbi Steven Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to Chai Point, the Milwaukee Jewish Archives or the charity of your choice.
