The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center announced Thursday, Feb. 25, that the Nominating Committee of the Board of Directors has selected Jamie Miller as chair-elect, and will submit Miller as nominee for Board Chair at the beginning of the 2016-2017 program year.
Contingent on board approval of the entire slate of incoming officers and directors presented at the JCC Annual Meeting in June, Miller will become the 27th board chair of the non-profit social services agency.
“Jamie has supported the JCC in so many ways – as a member, advocate, and leader,” said Moshe Katz, chair of the Nominating Committee.
“From serving as co-chair of the 2015 JCC Maccabi Games to his years of contributions as a member and officer of the JCC Board of Directors, Jamie’s influence on our mission and success is clear. This appointment reflects his impact on our past and his ability to lead our organization in the future.”
Miller, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Miami School of Law, is the founder of Miller & Miller Law, LLC and owner of Senior Helpers in Milwaukee.
A member of Beth Israel Ner Tamid Synagogue, Miller has previously served as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Operation Dream and Board President the Milwaukee Jewish Free Loan Association. He and his wife Felicia live in Bayside and have two daughters.
The Annual Meeting of the JCC will be held on June 1, 2016.
