Jesse Rosen, an experienced JCC manager who has worked for the White House, has been named chief operating officer of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
Rosen will manage programs related to wellness, education and community services at the $13 million social services agency. Rosen previously served as the JCC’s Maccabi games director and as interim business manager for the JCC.
“After a comprehensive national search, we identified the best possible candidate within our own family of staff,” said JCC President & Chief Executive Officer Mark Shapiro. “In partnership with our board of directors, personnel committee, and a variety of national and local influencers – Jesse was clearly the strongest leader to advance our mission, operations, and service excellence.”
Rosen continues his career at the JCC following the completion of the 2015 JCC Maccabi Games, which welcomed thousands of teen athletes and guests to the greater Milwaukee area for a weeklong celebration of Olympic-style competition, social service projects, and major community events.
“Without question, the JCC Maccabi Games are not the rousing success they were without Jesse’s leadership and expertise. Today, we have more fundraising potential, volunteer engagement opportunities, and brand awareness than ever before. That directly correlates to the lasting impact of the Games, and Jesse’s contributions to both our present and our future cannot be overstated,” added JCC Board Chair Alicia Sadoff.
A resident of Bayside, Rosen joined the JCC in 2013 after serving as an advance associate for the White House. A native of Minnesota, Rosen has held key leadership roles in public service, political campaigns, and large-scale special events after attending the University of Minnesota. In 2012, Rosen served as Associate Parade Director for the Inaugural Committee for President Barack Obama.
