Ari Weber of Glendale received rabbinical ordination from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School on June 14. The ceremony was held at the Eldridge Street Synagogue in New York City.
Weber graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in social welfare and Hebrew. He then spent four years in Israel, serving in the Nachal Infantry Brigade, studying at a yeshiva and doing volunteer work.
According to a June 2 news release from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah, Weber plans to pursue a career in Jewish education on college campuses or in chaplaincy.
