RUACH concert to display ‘Jewish Spirit’

   RUACH, Inc. — the Milwaukee Jewish arts and arts education organization — will present a concert titled “Jewish Spirit: Works on Jewish Themes and by Jewish Composers” on Wednesday, July 29, 7 p.m., at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut St.

   The concert features Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Associate Concertmaster Jeanyi Kim, MSO Principal Trombone Megumi Kanda and pianist Elena Abend, lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

   The program features works by Maurice Ravel, Leonard Bernstein, Ernest Bloch, John Williams and others.

   The event is sponsored by the United Performing Arts Fund, of which RUACH is an affiliate member, and by Bader Philanthropies, which is the lead sponsor of RUACH’s 10th anniversary programming.
