Cantor Deborah Martin has been hired as the spiritual leader of Congregation Emanu-El of Waukesha.
Martin has been cantor at Temple Beth El in Madison since 1991. She succeeds Rabbi Steve Adams who has accepted a position at the Jewish Home and Care Center in Milwaukee. (See page 16.) Adams served CEEW for 16 years.
Martin received cantorial certification from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She also has music degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music and the Boston Conservatory of Music.
