SCC offers diverse March programs

          From history to health to music, Sarah Chudnow Community’s March programs offer many topics and activities.

          On Wednesdays, March 4 and 18, 10:30 a.m., Lori Kornblum, adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School and former assistant district attorney for Milwaukee County, will offer legal perspectives on controversial topics.

          Rabbi Steve Adams of Congregation Emanu-El of Waukesha continues his monthly lecture series “Jews of Other Countries” on Monday, March 9, at 2 p.m. This month’s topic is “Jews of Eastern Europe.”

          The Brain Health Workshop on Wednesday, March 11, 2 p.m., provides an opportunity to engage in brain exercises that can help improve memory, focus and concentration.

          Lisa Gorelick, RN, BS, presents “Healthy Living” on Friday, March 13, 11:15 a.m. provides a program at SCC the second Friday of every month. If planning on attending, please refrain from wearing fragrances.

          On Sunday, March 15, 6:30 p.m., SCC welcomes students from the Beglan Dance Academy in performances of Irish music and dance.

          The last performance in the Winter Music Series on Wednesday, March 18, 7 p.m., features the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band.

          The musical duo Groovy performs music from Andy Williams to Patsy Cline on Sunday, March 22, 2 p.m.

          On Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., parents and their babies (up to two years old) participate in the “Baby Talk” program, conversing with seniors about what it was like raising children and socializing with other parents.
