JCC class to focus on an Israeli film

          The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will present a film class focusing on the Israeli movie “The Ballad of the Weeping Spring” (2012) on Sunday, Jan. 11, 4 p.m., at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd.

          The film tells how an Israeli musician assembles a band as a friend’s dying wish. The film contains much Middle Eastern/North African music.

          The class is co-sponsored by the Israel Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, and will be taught by Amit Yaniv-Zehavi, Israel emissary to Milwaukee.
