Chicago novelist to speak at Shalom

          Chicago attorney and now novelist Ronald H. Balson will speak about his novel “Once We Were Brothers” (2010, Berwick Court Publishing) for the Sanford J. Ettinger Memorial Lecture at Congregation Shalom.

          The event is scheduled to take place Friday, Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m.

          The novel is a legal thriller, set in Chicago, in which a Polish Jewish Holocaust survivor pursues a man he accuses of having been a Nazi SS officer and before that a German boy that the survivor’s family raised before the war.
