The Sept. 11 issue of the Shepherd Express free alternative weekly newspaper in Milwaukee included a full page devoted to an interview with Hannah Rosenthal, president and chief executive officer of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
The conversation with Benjamin Lockwood spanned her work with the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and with the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom and her view of the conflict between Israel and the Muslim terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
About the last-named, she said, “The only way this crisis is going to be resolved is diplomatically, is through a negotiated settlement. I used to think it was possible to do in my lifetime. I don’t think it is anymore. I hope it is in my children’s lifetime.”
