Remembering Lorraine Cohen

The Fine Arts Quartet — the world-renowned resident string quartet at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee — performed a concert to memorialize Lorraine Cohen at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center on Sept. 14. Quartet members are (from left): Ralph Evans, Efim Boico, Robert Cohen and Juan-Muguel Hernandez. Lorraine Cohen, who died last year, was for 30 years an organizer of and performer in the Summer Evenings of Jewish Music series at the JCC, as well as a Jewish music performer and educator in many other community venues.
