Jewish National Fund in Wisconsin has launched locally a new national campaign, “Go North,” which focuses on developing cities in northern Israel.
The local effort began June 14 at the Wisconsin Community Breakfast, and will continue throughout the summer. It will culminate at the Wisconsin Tribute Banquet on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 5:30 p.m.
JNF’s “Go North” campaign will help bring 300,000 people to the north of Israel and make it home to the next generation of Israel’s residents.
Cynthia and Mark Levy are the tribute banquet co-chairs. Proceeds from the banquet will benefit the “Go North” campaign.
This year JNF is honoring Deborah and Richard Alpert, Nancy and Dr. Jim Barnett, Deborah and Richard Hacker, Jan Loeb and Marc Shovers, Sue and Richard Strait, Andrea and Prof. Michael Waxman, and Next Generation leaders Jacob and Eli Cohen.
Register online at jnf.org/wibanquet by Aug. 20. For more information, contact Sidney Rivkin, srivkin@jnf.org or 414-963-8733.
