Tiz Goff of Madison has completed the training to become a member of the sixth North American cohort of Big Tent Judaism Professional Affiliates, according to the June issue of the Madison Jewish News.
This is a program of the Jewish Outreach Institute that began in 2012. It seeks to “expand the tent” of the Jewish community by “reaching and serving less engaged Jews, including unaffiliated and interfaith families.” It does this through outreach training and “Public Space Judaism” endeavors.
According to the publication, Goff began her training in January and now “will work with local professionals, as well as staff and lay leadership at the Jewish Federation of Madison to implement Public Space Judaism programs and create relationships with newcomers to the community to foster future engagement.”
