The Jewish Museum Milwaukee, a program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, has several programs planned in June associated with its “Jews Who Rock: A Musical History Tour” exhibit, which runs through Aug. 10.
“Rock and Roll Roots of Jews Who Rock,” a lunch and lecture at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, will feature Steve Palec, host of “Rock & Roll Roots” on WKLH 96.5. RSVP required by Monday, June 9.
The “School of Rock and PJ Library Concert and Story Event” is set for Sunday, June 22, 4 p.m. It will celebrate the exhibit with a special set list, featuring the house band from School of Rock and a story from PJ Library. RSVP requested by Wednesday, June 18.
On Monday, June 23, 11 a.m., historian and professor Jonathan Z. S. Pollack of the Mosse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will present “Jewish Entrepreneurs in the Rock & Roll Business.” RSVP by Wednesday, June 18.
