JMM exhibit gets Forward coverage

The Jewish Daily Forward carried an article about the Jewish Museum Milwaukee’s “Andy Warhol: 10 Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century” exhibit.

The article by Laura Hodes appeared in the March 21 issue. Hodes described the history of the series and her impressions of seeing them at the JMM.

She was apparently struck by the inclusion of Israeli prime minister Golda Meir, who spent many of her early years in Milwaukee, and the juxtaposition of the exhibit with the tapestry by Marc Chagall in the Helfaer Community Services Building atrium.

In addition, Hodes’s article was picked up and reprinted by the Jewish Ledger, the Jewish newspaper of Rochester, N.Y.

The JMM exhibit closes April 4.
