Purim in the 1930s — This photograph shows Milwaukee B’nai B’rith Girls in various costumes during their Purim party at the old Jewish Community Center on Milwaukee St. The date is uncertain, being listed as either 1938 or 1939. A defect in the negative apparently caused the blotch at left. The photo comes from the Annette Hirsh Collection in the archives of the Jewish Museum Milwaukee.
