Rabbi Yosef Carmel is the presiding judge of the Eretz Hemdah Rabbinical Court in Israel, a beit din independent of the Israeli government-financed and run rabbinical court system. He spoke at Lake Park Synagogue on Nov. 3, describing the work of this court and how it can make enforceable decisions under Israeli arbitration laws for people willing to make use of it.
