Amy Kahn joined the Milwaukee Jewish Federation staff on Nov. 1, as its new vice president of development.
For the last 14 years, Kahn worked at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and held several director of development positions focused primarily on raising major and principal level gifts; including leading the fundraising efforts for one of its schools, raising $11 million annually.
She also has extensive experience in the Jewish communal world both as a professional as the first director of development for the Ida Crown Jewish Academy and as a lay leader.
Volunteer work in the Chicago-area Jewish community has played an important role in her life. This work ranged from early days in Chicago’s Young Leadership Division, where she met her husband Doug, to service as a member of the Young Women’s board, the Jewish Children and Family Service board, the Virginia Frank Child Development Center, the Jewish Community Center, and NU’s Fiedler Hillel board.
At MJF, Kahn will be leading the fundraising efforts of both the annual campaign and the Jewish Community Foundation.
