Chudnow Community plans concerts, luau

          The Sarah Chudnow Community October calendar is filled with regular activities plus concerts and a Hawaiian luau.

          The month’s activities begin with a presentation on Monday, Oct. 7, 2-3 p.m. with Becky Manz, outreach librarian for the Wisconsin Talking Book and Braille Library. She will speak about services offered by the library for people who have a visual or physical impairment preventing them from reading standard sized print or holding a book.

          On Wednesday, Oct. 9, SCC will hold a theme dinner, this time a Hawaiian luau. Pre-dinner music with Papi Makaena begins at 4:30 p.m.

 

          There will be two dinner seatings, 5 and 5:30 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $18 per person. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 262-478-1500 before Oct. 2.

 

          The Strings Academy will perform on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2-3 p.m.

          The month rounds out with an Interfaith Choral Concert on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 7-8:30 p.m. Performing choirs from the area will include Grace Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Lumen Christi, Crossroads Presbyterian Church, Congregation Shalom, Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale and the Sarah Chudnow Glee Club.
