Beth El building sold to church

          Sale of the Mequon building of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue was concluded on July 30, according to the September synagogue bulletin of Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid.

          The building was sold to Christian Life Center, Inc., a church based in Germantown, according to the bulletin article written by Al Simon, past president of Beth El.

          The article stated that “the sale of the building was only made possible owing to the efforts of Alan Marcuvitz and Howard Loeb.”

          The article further stated that proceeds from the sale “will be used to enhance the welfare of our new synagogue,” and that many Beth El artifacts have been donated to other synagogues and the Jewish Museum Milwaukee.

          Beth El combined with Congregation Beth Israel to form the new entity in 2012.
