Arriving in Israel

Idan Yitschak, 19, from Bayside, made aliyah (moved to Israel) on Aug. 12 on what was called a “Soldiers’ Flight” due to the number of olim (immigrants to Israel) on board who are joining the Israel Defense Force. In this photo after the flight’s arrival in Tel Aviv, Yitschak is at the right of the rightmost Israeli flag behind a young woman with dark glasses. On the flight were 331 North American olim. The special Nefesh B’Nefesh flight was organized in cooperation with the Friends of the IDF, Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, the Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel and Tzofim Garin Tzabar.
