Apology for a scheduling mistake

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin apologizes for scheduling this year’s Briggs and Al’s Run on Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement. We regret that so many community members will not be able to participate in the event.

We will work to avoid such conflicts in the future.

The mission of Children’s Hospital is one of inclusion because every child and every family in our community, regardless of race, religion or economic class, deserves the very best care. We could never deliver that care without the support, participation and advocacy of every part of our community.

We apologize for this year’s conflict. We are grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply for our mission of bringing life-saving care to Wisconsin’s kids.
