Native Milwaukeean Marvin Arnol died April 26 after a five-year battle with cancer. He was 85.
He graduated from West Division High School and earned a business degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked in insurance sales until retirement, then started a second career as a tax preparer.
He was a member of Congregation Shalom, AEPi fraternity and Mensa. He enjoyed games, attaining the rank of life master in bridge and serving as president of the Milwaukee Backgammon Club.
His first wife, Geraldine (nee Marks), died in 1974. He is survived by his second wife, Harriet Arnol; sons Jeffrey (Terry) Arnol and Tom (Tammy) Arnol; stepdaughters Marci (Richard) Sussman, Susan (Mark) Wichman, Julie (Terry) Dooley and Jodie (Tom) Dolinar; and 14 grandchildren.
Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled arrangements. Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on April 28. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.

Abigail “Abby” Nicole Goldberg of Shorewood died on July 8. She was 13.
She was born in Dallas, Texas, and came to Milwaukee in 2006. She was a student at Shorewood Intermediate School.
She was a member of Congregation Shalom.
She is survived by her parents, Beverly and Abe Goldberg; siblings Jacob and Sarah Goldberg; and grandparents Annise and Lloyd Lindeburg.

Natalie Nye, nee Tolmasky, of Mequon died May 11 of natural causes. She was 80.
She was born and raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Washington High School. “Although Natalie was a polio survivor, she never let having that disease hold her back from a full and active life,” wrote her son, Steven (Stacey) Nye of Mequon.
She met her husband, Marvin, at a B’nai B’rith function and they were married for 53 years. Natalie worked as the head bookkeeper and office manager at Stone’s Jewelers for almost 30 years.
In addition, wrote her son, “Natalie supported Marvin’s vision for their business, The Nye Corporation, where she helped manage the company finances for nearly 35 years.”
Natalie was a longtime member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue and later Temple Menorah. She was also a life member of Hadassah and Woman’s American ORT.
She enjoyed playing mahjong, frequently attended Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra classical and pops concerts, visited Door County yearly and enjoyed numerous cruises. “Her trip to Israel with Marvin was a highlight of their travels together,” her son wrote.
She accumulated an extensive collection of Judaica, mostly throughout her travels, and “Her baked whitefish sandwiches, dill pickles and spinach borscht were renowned,” wrote her son.
Her husband, Marvin, preceded Natalie in death in 2012. In addition to Steven, she is survived by son Eric (Cristin) Nye of Whitefish Bay; sister Bernice Gollup of Glendale; and four grandchildren.
Godman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home handled arrangements. Rabbi Gil-Ezer Lerer officiated at the funeral on May 13. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.

Richard “Rick” Teper of Mundelein, Ill., died May 26 after a more than two-year battle with leukemia. He was 45.
He was a native Milwaukeean who graduated from Nicolet High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca (nee Lubkeman); children Kendal and Kaleb Teper; parents Marilyn and Robert Teper; parents-in-law Anne and Ray Lubkeman; brothers Mark (Gina) Teper and James (Susan) Teper; and brother-in-law Todd (Jill) Lubkeman.
