“Jews in Contemporary Poland”

Jan Wolenski (right), visiting scholar and emeritus professor of philosophy at the Jagellonian University in Krakow, Poland, spoke on June 26 at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee about “Jews in Contemporary Poland.” More than 50 people attended. With him during the question period is Prof. Joel Berkowitz, director of the Sam and Helen Stahl Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The center co-sponsored the event with the museum and the Nathan & Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center of the Coalition for Jewish Learning, the education program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
