Memorial events slated for Rabbi Bernard Reichman

          Two memorial events for Rabbi Bernard Reichman, who died April 2 (see May Chronicle), are scheduled for June.

          On Tuesday, June 11, 11:15 a.m., the Jewish War Veterans Department of Wisconsin has slated a memorial service and luncheon at the Zablocki Veterans Administration Hospital, 5000 W. National Ave., Room 3435.

          Reichman served for about 20 years as Jewish chaplain at this hospital. For more information, call 414-332-4717.

          On Wednesday, June 19, 7 p.m., Reichman’s synagogue, Congregation Anshai Lebowitz, is planning to hold a memorial service at the Jewish Home and Care Center/Chai Point’s Rubenstein Pavilion, 1400 N. Prospect Ave.

          Featured speakers will include Reichman’s two sons, Rabbis Dr. Edward Reichman and Howard Reichman.
